Environmental and Social Impact Assessment
Following the Environmental Impact Assessment study carried out in line with local legislation, an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study compliant with IFC performance standards, guidance and the Equator Principles has been completed for the Bandirma-Bursa-Yenisehir-Osmaneli High Standard Railway Project.
The report identifies and evaluates the potential positive and negative impacts of the project on the environment and society in detail. In addition, the mitigation measures that Kalyon must implement to prevent, reduce and offset adverse impacts were defined within the Environmental and Social Action Plan, and an Environmental and Social Management Plan was prepared to manage the process effectively.
